PRICE:  Children  $2 / Adult  $3 **Hours subject to change due to special events/tournaments.  During the year, we host Open Skate theme parties, including music, entertainment, prizes, games and food.  Such parties include Halloween, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day. 

SKATING LESSONS
(Register at the Recreation Office for all Skating lessons, Beginner Hockey & Adult Ice Hockey)

TOT SKATE:  This program is for little ones interested in learning to skate.  Children must be potty-trained and a helmet is required.  3 yrs. old - 5 yrs. old

BASIC SKILLS: This program is designed for children to learn to skate and earn badges as their skills progress.  Registrants must be 6 yrs. old unless they’ve completed badges Tot 1-4 in our program.
30 minutes classes between 6:00 - 8:00 PM.  Seven ( 7 )  week sessions.

TEAM COMPULSORY

Skaters must have passed Delta/Badge 9 to try out.
Classes - Thursday - 5:40 - 6:20 PM / Saturday from 10:30 - 11:10 AM / 12:10 - 12:50 PM.

ISI / COMPETITIVE CLASSES

Freestyle 1 - 5, Couples (Delta-FS10), Jumps & Spins (FS10 only) will be held on Saturday from 11:10 - 12:10 PM.  Dance classes will be held on Sunday evening from 8 - 9 PM.  Competitive Class will be held on Sunday from 5 - 5:50 PM.  There are deadlines for each of the sessions, please call for prices and more information.

SOUTHGATE FIGURE SKATING BOOSTER CLUB
Your child must be registered and skating in the Southgate Recreation Figure Skating Program in order to join the Booster Club.  The Booster Club membership dues are $15.00 annually, per family.  You will be mailed a copy of each month’s minutes.  Booster Club meetings are usually held in the arena Loft Room.  Deadline for active Booster Club Membership is the first Friday in November.  You must be an active member if you plan to let your skater register for the Ice Show.  The Ice Show is usually held the first or second weekend in April, check our calendar of events.

ADULT ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE
Fall and Spring Leagues offered.  Sign up as individual or by team.  Fall League registration is in September.  Games are played October thru February. Spring League registration is in March.  Games are played April thru June. For more information, please contact Ron Jewell at 734-258-3032.

HOCKEY
Hockey teams are formed for Youth House & Travel teams for ages 18 and under by the Southgate Hockey Association.  Evaluations for the Travel teams for the Fall season are held in August.  Evaluations for the House teams are held the beginning of September.  For more info, call Southgate Recreation at 734-258-3035.

BANQUET HALL
Newly remodeled (non-smoking) hall that holds up to 350 guests.  There’s a full service kitchen available for your caterer to use.  Rate for Saturday rentals or for other days of the week when you have more than 175 guests. Residents:  $525.00 plus $500.00 (refundable) Security Deposit. Non-Residents:  $675.00 plus $500.00 (refundable) Security Deposit. A total of $575.00 is due to hold date for the hall.  This includes $500.00 (refundable) plus $75.00 (non-refundable).  The $75.00 goes towards your balance remaining. Special rate for non-residents on a Friday or Sunday is now $325.00.  Rate for 6-hour rental (not available for Saturdays):  175 guest maximum for this rate. Security Deposit the same as above.  You can purchase up to two additional hours @ $25.00 each.  Rental hours must be consecutive. LOFT ROOM
The Loft over looks Arena A at the Civic Center.  This room will comfortably seat 70 people for a smaller gathering.  Rental fee for maximum of 4 hours is $65.00 plus $90.00 (refundable Security Deposit.  Rental fee for over 4 hours is $90.00 plus $90.00 (refundable) Security Deposit.  For any additional information, please contact the Recreation Department at 734-258-3035, press #1.
