Southgate City Council
Michelle Davis

  I was born and raised in the Downriver Area and have lived in Southgate for the last 13 years.  I am a 1990 graduate of Trenton High School.  I have 15 years of experience in various administrative and clerical positions; it is my hope that this will be an asset in my position as councilwoman.

 My husband Dave and I have been married for 13 years and we have an 8-year-old daughter, Sarah.  She attends Allen Elementary School where I spend a lot of time volunteering in the classroom and helping out with the PTO.  I am also a part time employee for the Southgate School District.

 One of my favorite past times has been volunteering as a member of the City’s Special Events Commission.  I feel it helps the City to be more family friendly and serves as a magnet that attracts people to Southgate.

 It will be an honor to serve the citizens of Southgate for the next 2 years.  I hope to be a voice for the citizens.  I will work hard with the other council members and the wonderful new Mayor Norma Wurmlinger.  Together we can and will move the City forward.
